How to Change a MAC Address in Microsoft Windows

Every Ethernet card has a MAC address burned-in at the factory. At times, you may want to change this MAC address to one of your own choosing. Under Windows, the MAC address is stored in a registry key. Manually, you can change the MAC address via REGEDIT, but I think it is difficult. It is easy if you use software to change it.

You can use one of following softwares:

Macshift
Download Macshift first. Click here to download.
After you download it, please follow the step below:
  • Extract the downloaded file first, wherever you want
  • Create a shortcut to macshift.exe and modify the shortcut by right-clicking it and selecting Properties.
  • In the Target: box, add necessary command-line parameters to the box. or example, if you wanted to change your adapter named "Wireless" to the MAC 001122334455 using macshift.exe located in c:\macshift, the Target box would read: c:\macshift\macshift.exe -i "Wireless" 001122334455
  • To run it, double-click the shortcut you created

K-MAC
K-MAC is a MAC address changer for Windows.

Download it here.
